Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms cover your use of the FocusTake Chrome extension and this website. By installing or using FocusTake, you agree to them.
01Using FocusTake
FocusTake is a Chrome extension for recording browser-tab product demos, with auto zoom, a smooth cursor, a local editor, and local WebM export.
You may use FocusTake to create demos for personal and commercial projects, subject to these terms and applicable law.
02Free and Pro
The Free tier exports WebM with a watermark and standard limits. A local Pro license unlocks a watermark-free export, 1080p WebM, longer recordings, and a higher bitrate.
Where a paid Pro license is offered, it is a license to use Pro features, not a transfer of ownership. Pricing and availability shown on this site may change, and checkout may not be available in the first version.
03Your content
You are responsible for what you record and share. Only record tabs and content you have the right to capture, and make sure your demos comply with the terms of the sites and data shown in them.
04Acceptable use
Do not use FocusTake to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to circumvent license limits, and do not redistribute the extension as your own.
05Intellectual property
FocusTake, including the extension, this website, and its branding, remains the property of its creators. These terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or source code beyond using the product as intended.
06Disclaimer
FocusTake is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Early versions may contain bugs, and features described as experimental or planned may change or not ship.
We do not guarantee that recordings, exports, or any output will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
07Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, FocusTake and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product, including lost recordings or exports.
08Termination
You can stop using FocusTake at any time by removing the extension. We may suspend or end access to the extension, or to Pro features, if you breach these terms or misuse the product.
Sections that should outlast your use, such as intellectual property, the disclaimer, and limitation of liability, stay in effect after you stop using FocusTake.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
